Product Description

New! This cute little orchid, great for small spaces, was originally registered in 1994 by Stewart’s Orchids. They took their famous 1979 introduction Grt. Why Not back to one of the parents, Guarianthe aurantiaca. This version uses the all-yellow mutation of Grt. Why Not, and that color dominates, creating charming little bouquets of sunny yellow flowers. The photo shows a group of five different seedlings – all have very consistent looking blooms. These have all flowered as very small plants in 2.5” pots but will continue to gain size until they are mature in the 8 to 10 inch range. Adult plants will produce large clusters of up to two dozen flowers per spike and will branch freely to produce multiple growths. We expect them to bloom twice or more per year as well. An excellent choice for a basket or pot with open medium that allows air to the roots.
