Brassocatanthe Taiwan Mermaid ‘STK’ (2.5” pot near blooming size)

New! This new cross from STK orchids in Thailand pairs the ever popular Brassanthe Maiki with C. Thospol Spot, a compact, fragrant spotted cattleya with heavy substance. The very neat growing plants should remain on the compact side and produce nice clusters of fragrant flowers in vivid purple with a white throat peppered with dark purple spots, and a satiny sheen. Given the ancestry, flowering should favor summer to fall, but may occur at other times as well on mature plants. We have held these back for over a year, only selling them at shows, so they are ready to be stepped up to larger pots soon and should flower within the year.
