Rhyncolaeliocattleya Yen Surprise ‘Seiko’ AM/AOS (4.5” pot blooming size)

New! This awarded, compact growing, mostly bifoliate orchid produces spikes of up to five fragrant flowers, each a little over four inches across when mature. There is quite a mix of different species going into its ancestry, making it fairly easy growing and adaptable to a range of conditions. Flowers open almost green with a vibrant purple lip and mature to soft yellow to chartreuse, and can be produced at almost any time of the year on just maturing new growths. The fragrance is quite lovely. We repotted these in summer of 2022 into premium Kiwi bark and they should be good for a couple of years.
