Myrmecatavola Mini Fox (2.5” pot near blooming size)

Product Description
New! This new hybrid will be very similar to a scaled down Myrmecatavola Tiger Lily which is Bc Richard Mueller x Myrmecophila tibicinis and was introduced in 1998 but nearly impossible to find now. It combines Bc. Richard Mueller with Myrmecophila brysiana instead. The photo show an example that has flowered for us. These will be frequent flowering, quick growing plants that appreciate bright light and excellent drainage, great for hanging baskets or large size mounts, but fine in a pot as well as long as they are stepped up into large sized media as they grow up. Plants will flower young but will continue to improve in flower size and number of blooms. The flowers will likely go through a color change as they mature, creating a kaleidoscopic effect when they are borne in clusters on mature plants. This orchid will love summer heat and humidity, and so can hang outside in dappled bright light during the warming months with only minimal care. Winter will require a bright south facing window or LED lights to provide the intensity that will keep them flowering through the cooler months.
