It combines two famous orchids, the compact yellow Rhyncattleanthe Love Sound and the standard dark red Rhyncolaeliocattleya Chia Lin, which is itself a child of the even more famous Rlc. Oconee. The resulting four-inch fragrant flowers are glowing salmon with a purple lip accented by two pale yellow “eyes.” Flowering will favor summer into fall but may also occur twice per year on mature plants. Note that these were repotted into no.5 Kiwi Bark in June of 2023 at the appropriate time when new roots were emerging on the newest growth. They are flowering size plants, and some will bloom this year while all will bloom within 12 months.
