Rhyncattleanthe Burana Beauty ‘Burana’ (3.5” square pot blooming size mericlone)
This compact and fragrant cattleya has been around for more than 20 years now, and has stood the test of time for ease of growth and reliability. It has more species in its background that you can count on two hands, which helps account for its adaptability. We typically see flowers in both summer and winter, usually two to three per spike on young plants, but up to five once fully grown. The plants are freely branching so they already have two or more leads in the 3.5” pots they are in now. They are generally ready to step up to a 5 or 6 inch pot soon. We always recommend that you repot right at the time that new roots are just emerging from the newest growths as this helps the plant establish quicker.
