Cattleya (Pole-Star x loddigesii) x Myrmecophila thomsoniana (3.5” net pot seedling)
New! This Marble Branch Farms cross is for lovers of “Schomburgkia” hybrids. The photos show two examples. Those that have matured and flowered already have been compact growers at about 8 to 10 inches in height. The upright flower spikes can be 12-15 inches above that, with cream to yellow flowers, borne successively, exhibiting wavy segments and a lip that has a dark purple blotch at the mid-lobe and deep yellow in the throat. Some have been fragrant. We only have a handful of these seedlings, the last batch salvageable from our original mother flask. They are in 3.5” net pots and 1 to two years until first bloom. With this type of parentage, good drainage is essential. These are great for baskets or even mounting on wood if you are willing to water more often. one per customer please!
