We have a special fondness for Cattleya species. Many carry a type of simple beauty that has become lost in the more complex hybrids. While it is often assumed they are more difficult to grow than the hybrids, we have not found this to be so. Some, do, however, require a seasonal rest period without much water in order to flower well, due to the climate from which they originate. But if you can learn which ones need this, it makes their care easier than ever in the winter months. They won’t mind at all if you take a week and head to the tropics yourself! We endeavor to bring you some of the less common varieties and color forms that are not readily available elsewhere. Click each listing for more details and click the images for a larger view!
