Blc. Cecillia Irene (Bc. Richard Mueller x Laelia aurea) (3.5" pot blooming size)

Product Description

Easy growing, great performer! While this new Bc. Richard Mueller hybrid is shaped just like its parent, it has its own special charms, and inherits some traits that will make it a plant that continues to get better over time! These started to bloom while still in 2” pots with one or two flowers, but they should carry 7 or more per cluster as they mature, in the 3 to 3.5 inch range. They will also turn into handsome and impressive specimens over time. They are somewhere between 'mini' and 'compact' in size, and very vigorous. What makes this hybrid unique is the ‘Black-eyed Susan’ effect created by the dark purple throat inherited from Laelia aurea, a rare Mexican species related to Laelia rubescens. The shade of yellow is lighter and clearer than the sometimes hard tones of other Bc. Richard Mueller hybrids. These are flowering off and on throughout the year, with new blooms produced along with each new growth. This should be an easy plant to keep happy in a well drained pot or basket with bright intermediate conditions
