Cattleychea Siam Jade 'AVO' AM/CST (3" pot young plant)

Cattleychea Siam Jade remains one of the best and most satisfying green cattleyas around, so we jumped at the chance to offer these healthy young plants of the awarded ‘AVO’ cultivar. The plants are compact growers that slowly increase to about 12 inches in height, with nice dark green leaves even in high light. Strong erect spikes hold the stunning, fragrant, jade green and white flowers above the foliage. Each is about 3.5” across, with a strong substance that makes them look like they are carved out of frosted glass. There doesn’t seem to be any definite bloom season for this orchid, throwing up a spike any time that it completes a new growth, but more likely from fall to spring, and often more than once in a single year. We offer vigorous young plants still a year or two from blooming. As they mature, be sure and repot using a very open and coarse mix, or transfer the plant to a wooden basket so the large and vigorous roots can get good air circulation. Overall, this orchid is easy and dependable.
