Despite its tricky to pronounce name, we think this is one of the most exciting Laelia anceps hybrids to come along in quite some time! A hybrid with the famous C. Wendy’s Valentine ‘June’ AM/AOS, it is an attractive grower that is vigorous, compact and easily throws multiple leads for an ever improving show. When awarded in 2007, the judges were definitely impressed as it scored 88 points, a very high Award of Merit (AM) and just 2 points shy of the highest flower quality award, the First Class Certificate (FCC). The nice upright spikes range up to about a foot in length, long enough to display the stunning cerise red flowers attractively, without being too long. The lip is a darker shade and the throat is golden, with attractive red lines. Plants bloom in mid winter, and often again late spring though late summer. We offer near blooming size plants with more than one lead.
