Rlc. Little Toshie ‘Golden Fantasy’ x Ctt. Gold Digger ‘Marble Branch’ (3" pot near blooming size)

Here is one of our own crosses in the quest for repeat flowering cluster cattleyas. Rlc. Little Toshie ‘Golden Fantasy’ HCC/AOS is one of the most frequent blooming compact cattleyas we know of, regularly producing 3.5 inch bright yellow flowers with true red lips throughout the year on every new growth. Ctt. Gold Digger ‘Marble Branch’ is the result of selfing the ‘Fuchs Mandarin’ clone of this vigorous winter flowering hybrid. Although there are now 65 registered hybrids with Ctt. Gold Digger, all but two have been with other once flowering hybrids, so we cannot be sure that we can ‘break the mold’ and achieve a cluster flowering repeat bloomer from this combination or not. Whatever the frequency of bloom, the flowers should be well shaped yellows and oranges with contrasting lips on nice upright stems. We offer healthy young seedlings near blooming size in 3 inch pots.
